Anu rai
Anu holds a postgraduate degree in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University, Nepal. She has supported and led several freshwater ecological studies and promoted stewardship of common pool resources. Currently, she is spearheading the prototyping of biopesticide at Nagdaha as is also consulting on a project run by Youth Innovation Lab and Stockholm Environment Institute which focuses on co-designing nature-based solutions to improve public health outcomes in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Nepal.
Manoj mali
Manoj is an engineer by profession and also studies Masters in urban studies at Kathmandu University. He is also a local farmer at Nagdaha and has been actively been working in wetland restoration through community clean-up efforts, undertaking studies, and in community engagement.
nischal devkota
Nischal is an aquatic ecologist with a postgraduate degree in the same from Lund University. Besides his scientific endeavors, his interests lie in ecosystem conservation through sustainable stewardship of freshwater resources and local livelihood enhancement. Currently, he works as a JP in the Secretariat of Convention on Wetlands and is an integral part of the ‘Wetlands for Nepal’ initiative.
shreeya manandhar
Shreeya is a Master’s student of environmental science at Kathmandu University. She plays an instrumental role in ‘Wetlands for Nepal’ in promoting various ecological studies about sedimentation problems in Nagdaha and also in prototyping biopesticide production. She has a passion for creating positive change in the community and the environment through sustainable agriculture practices.
Bibek shrestha
Bibek is studying Master of Environmental Science at Yale University. He has over three years of professional experience in environmental sciences centered on river water quality, aquatic biodiversity, and environmental assessment of hydropower projects.
SAMIKSHYA CHHETRI
Samikshya holds a postgraduate degree in Hydroinformatics from UNESCO-IHE Delft. She has worked in laboratory analysis of water quality parameters at Aquatic Ecology Centre/Kathmandu University.
Pratik shrestha
Pratik holds a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science and has significantly contributed to our team by spearheading social media engagement efforts. He has over three years of professional experience in hydrology, citizen science, freshwater, and aquatic ecology. His primary professional interest lies in examining the intricate interplay between hydrology and ecology. He has a passion for creating freshwater conservation to achieve environmental sustainability.
KEVIN BAJRACHARYA
Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University, Nepal. Passionate about resilience and climate-adaptive technologies, he collaborates with a dynamic team to communicate disaster risk at Youth Innovation Lab and advocate data-driven policies at the municipal level through creative visual storytelling. Likewise, through Greenway Nepal, he promoted sustainable urban mobility in Kathmandu through bicycling. A storytelling enthusiast, Kevin shares project narratives and enjoys cycling and exploring new destinations in his free time.
prayon joshi
Prayon is a graudate student of Geoinformatics with focus on the use of Earth Observation for fresh water monitoring. He is also working as a GIS & Data Associate at Youth Innovation Lab focusing on the integration of Risk Sensitive Land Use Planning Datasets to the national disaster portal. He loves to drink coffee while talking about science and philosophy.
suman p. pradhan
Suman is a holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science with a Specialization in Natural Resources. He is working as a Research Associate at UKRI-GCRF-South Asian Nitrogen Hub, Kathmandu University, Nepal. His research interests include natural product chemistry and the metagenomics approach in the selection of bioindicators of environmental stresses in terrestrial habitats.
Sujan p. pradhan
Sujan is currently pursuing a degree in Botany at Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University, where he is deeply engaged in the study of plant biology, ecology, and environmental conservation. With a keen interest in plant physiology and taxonomy, Sujan is dedicated to exploring the diverse world of flora and understanding the intricate relationships between plants and their ecosystems.
